ICT Executive Committee Approves Four New Projects: RFPs Will Be Posted Shortly

The ICT Executive Committee held its fall meeting on November 28, 2012, in Springfield, Illinois, and approved funding for four suggested research ideas. One of the approved projects is an extension of a completed ICT project, "An Expert Systems Approach to Highway Construction Scheduling." The continuation project is titled "Enhancements to the Highway Construction Expert System--Phase 2. (R27-135)"

In addition, funding for three new projects was also approved:

  • R27-119: Real-Time Information Dissemination Requirements for Illinois Per New Federal Rule
  • R27-136: Development of Public Right of Way Accessibility Guideline (PROWAG) Resource Material
  • R27-137: Evaluation of PCC Pavement and Structure Coring and In-Situ Testing Alternatives

Some of the newly approved research projects will be outsourced by ICT to other universities or private researchers. ICT will post an RFPs for these projects on its website by mid-February. You can request to receive email notification of all ICT RFPs.
