Illinois Center for Transportation steers the development and implementation of cost-effective mobility technologies, improves safety and reliability, reduces congestion, minimizes environmental impacts while returning taxpayers’ dollars. Housed at ICT is a 60,000-square-foot transportation research and testing facility. Our premier research facility has innovative partnerships and collaborations with Illinois Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, industries, national and international agencies, and many others.

Outreach

Illinois Center for Transportation offers several outreach opportunities, including educating thousands of Illinois Department of Transportation, other local government agencies and industry contractors and engineers with two workshops — Documentation of Contract Quantities and Erosion and Sediment Control. ICT’s Kent Seminar Series features a key transportation researcher in an hour-long lecture about the latest research efforts in the field. Our annual Bituminous Paving Conference provides unique opportunities to share knowledge and perspectives, review of hot-mix asphalt field reports, exploration of flexible pavement advances and much more.
