IDOT has been appointed chair of an American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) effort to develop a specification that will simplify and improve how sign sheeting materials will be specified for state DOT's. The tasks of the proposed project include attending a sign sheeting research demonstration in College Station, Texas on May 21-22, 2009 and providing technical input to aid in simplifying the specifications with considerations gained from the demonstration effort.

To provide support in reviewing the TXDOT/TTI demonstration and provide input into the proposed sign sheeting specifications for AASHTO and Illinois DOT.
