ICT Executive Committee Meeting - October 2008

The ICT Executive Committee held its fall meeting in Springfield, Illinois, on October 27, 2008. At the meeting, ICT Director Imad Al-Qadi provided an update on the ICT research program and the Executive Committee approved nine additional research projects recommended by its eight Technical Advisory Groups. The nine new research projects total $2.7 million.

With the Executive Committee's action last month, a total of 93 research projects have been approved by the Illinois Department of Transportation since the ICT was created in August 2005. The total value of the research projects awarded since 2005 is $19.1 million.
ICT will solicit proposals for several of the new research projects by advertising RFPs on its website. Watch for these RFPs in late November or early December.
