The ICT congratulates the following students on their recent awards:

Phil Donovan Wins FAA Centers of Excellence Outstanding Student of the Year

Phillip Donovan is the winner of this year's FAA Centers of Excellence Outstanding Student of the Year. Phillip is a PhD student advised by ICT Investigator Professor Erol Tutumluer. Phillip is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and has a long and impressive resume of civil engineering accomplishments related to military airfield infrastructure. This award recognizes Phillip's contributions to the success of the FAA-sponsored CEAT research project titled, "Analysis of NAPTF Trafficking Dynamic Response Data for Pavement Deformation Behavior."

Debakanta Mishra Selected for the College of Engineering Dean's Graduate Student Advisory Committee (GSAC)

Debakanta (Deb) Mishra has been selected as a founding member to the Graduate Student Advisory Committee (GSAC). Deb is advised by ICT Investigator Professor Erol Tutumluer. Deb works with Professor Tutumleur on ICT Project R27-1, "Characterization of IL Aggregates for Subgrade Replacement and Subbase." The purpose of GSAC is to advise the College of Engineering on topics that are important to graduate education and that impact the graduate student experience on campus. The GSAC will meet regularly with the Dean of Engineering to bring forward ideas and concerns facing engineering graduate students. The committee is made up of twelve engineering graduate students along with the Dean of Engineering and the Associate Dean of Graduate and Professional Programs. Members will serve one-year renewable terms.
