ICT welcomes Zinkl as research projects manager

Illinois Center for Transportation is pleased to announce that Abrielle Zinkl has joined the team as a research projects manager.

Zinkl oversees ICT research project progress and effectiveness, while also proposing solutions to align outcomes with the specifications of ICT and IDOT’s intergovernmental agreement.

“I am excited to be part of so many interesting projects,” Zinkl said. “I am new to the transportation field but being able to see the relevance and tangibility of the work that we do here is really cool and unique.”

Zinkl aims to enhance efficiency in data and financial tracking and to develop a method for presenting data that helps researchers understand project statuses and budgets more clearly.

With a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus, along with experience as a contract specialist with the Air Force, Zinkl brings valuable expertise to her role at ICT.

Outside work, Zinkl enjoys spending time with her dogs, exercising, traveling, gardening, and attending sports events and national parks.
