This fall, the University of Illinois Civil & Environmental Engineering Department and Engineering Career Services are excited to host an event to highlight the railroad and the innovative opportunities available to college students and graduates. “Getting Your Career on Track in the Railroad Industry” will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from 4-6 p.m. at the Illini Union on the Urbana-Champaign campus.
The event will begin with keynote speaker David Ferryman of CN Railroad who will talk about today's railroad industry and the exciting opportunities in rail transportation and engineering, both now and in the future. This will be followed by a networking session, similar to the format of a small career fair. The event will be open to undergraduate and graduate students across campus and will be heavily advertised to them.
