08-06: MATERIAL QUALITY TESTING RISK ASSESSMENT AND MULTI-STATE PEER EXCHANGE
The objective of this proposed peer exchange is to benchmark the Illinois material testing status in the Central Laboratory, District Laboratory, and in the field in relation to other states and to determine needed courses of action to limit risk of material quality related failures in a declining staff environment. By working with other states, Illinois can determine if there are areas where the Department can reduce the level of testing for material acceptance or if the risk warrants continued testing and reestablishment of key testing capability/staffing.
Funds: $100,000 total, includes a required 25% ($25,000) cost share from proposing agency
Contract Time: 24 months
