Al-Qadi leads the Illinois Center for Transportation and the initiative of the Illinois Autonomous and Connected Track. He is an internationally renowned engineer and scholar in transportation engineering research, sustainability, airfield and highway pavement mechanics, electrified freight and platoons, and ground-penetrating radar.
Anderson oversees ICT's financial and administrative operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, project management, outreach and personnel management.
Arbulu supports ICT's outreach efforts by assisting with education and certification courses, coordinating events, developing outreach materials and promoting awareness of the center's research activities.
Funkhouser-Walker manages the administration and management of ICT-IDOT research projects, including workplan development, budget management and program reporting.
Hajj conducts research focused on smart and sustainable transportation infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on innovative infrastructure materials and facilities that improve transportation safety, efficiency and sustainability. He also serves as ICT’s asphalt materials lead.
Kastania coordinates ICT's outreach activities, including events and conferences, to promote awareness of the center's research activities and engage with stakeholders.
Kontou conducts research related to sustainable transportation engineering and planning, with a focus on mobility systems modeling and data-driven analytics. She also serves as ICT’s electrification mobility lead.
Lang conducts research related to transportation engineering at ICT, with a focus on intelligent infrastructure, utilizing emerging sensing technologies, AI and big data analytics.
Lorbiecki coordinates ICT-IDOT research projects and is responsible for reviewing project workplans and budgets, monitoring project status to ensure compliance with research objectives and preparing technical research discussion summaries.
Lu conducts research related to transportation engineering at ICT, with a focus on pavement materials, design and analysis.
Macomber provides technical editing of ICT research reports, academic journal articles and conference papers. Additionally, she writes articles that highlight research results and implementable project outcomes. She also manages ICT's website and social media accounts.
Mohamed Ali conducts research related to transportation engineering at ICT, with a focus on pavement materials, design and rehabilitation.
Motlagh conducts research related to transportation engineering at ICT, with a focus on pavement materials, design and rehabilitation.
Ouyang conducts research in the general areas of transportation systems engineering, with a focus on mobility service planning, network optimization and operations control for efficiency, resilience and sustainability. He also serves as ICT’s mobility optimization lead.

Renshaw leads the research engineer team and manages ICT’s research laboratories and testing facilities. He conducts research related to transportation engineering with a focus on pavement materials, design and rehabilitation.
Roesler conducts research related to transportation engineering, with a focus on concrete pavement design, analysis and materials. He serves as ICT’s rigid pavements lead.
Talebpour conducts research related to transportation engineering, with a focus on connected and automated vehicles, traffic flow modeling and transportation safety. He also serves as ICT’s mobility autonomy lead.
Tutumluer conducts research related to transportation infrastructure, with a focus on geotechnical engineering and pavement design. He serves as ICT’s transportation geotechnics lead.
