Requests for Proposals

Illinois Center for Transportation is soliciting proposals until May 24, 2021, for the following research projects:

Any technical questions should be submitted to by Wednesday, May 5, 2021. All technical questions and answers will be posted here.

RFP Evaluation Process:

The Technical Review Panel, a group of subject-matter experts, will review each proposal based on the following criteria:

  1. Evaluation of the proposal merit (20%)
  2. Evaluation of the research approach (35%)
  3. Implementation of research results (25%)
  4. Evaluation of the research team and facilities (20%)

Principal Investigators submitting research proposals for consideration by the IDOT-ICT research program should review TRID for similar or related topics prior to submitting their proposal. The Transportation Research Board recorded a series of videos that discuss new features of the TRID database, the benefits of using TRID and how to search the database using either a desktop or mobile device. These videos are available on-demand at no cost, and slides are also available.
