The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's high-speed, multimodal autonomous track, known as the Illinois Autonomous and Connected Track, is making a buzz with the Rantoul Village Board approving a lease agreement with the U of I on Aug. 10. The track is now that much closer to setting up shop at the former Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois.
