ICT participates in several outreach activities, including conferences and lectures.
Various ICT projects were discussed as part of the 96th Annual Illinois Transportation and Highway Engineering (T.H.E.) Conference that convened at the Illini Union on the UIUC campus on February 23-24, 2010. The conference had a record attendance of 1053. ICT also participated as an exhibitor at the conference.
ICT Investigator William Buttlar served as Chairperson of T.H.E.; Investigator Ray Benekohal presented his research on queue analysis for work zones; ICT Director Imad Al-Qadi presented an update on the center’s research; and Fahrad Ansari presented his research on a simple and cost effective scour sensor.

Additionally, ICT participated as an exhibitor at the Innovations Conference on Asphalt and Transportation (ICAT) 2010 sponsored by Bradley University. ICT Director Imad Al-Qadi serves on the ICAT Executive Board.
On April 28, ICT Director gave a distinguished lecture on his research and the ICT at the University of Maryland as part of the Kirlin Seminar Series.
