The 2010 Joint Rail Conference was held on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on April 27-29, 2010. The conference theme was “High Speed and Intercity Passenger Rail,” and there were over 200 presentations on a wide range passenger and freight rail transportation, management, planning and engineering topics.
The conference was sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Rail Transportation Division, IEEE Vehicular Technology Society, ASCE T&DI Rail Transportation Committee, American Railway Engineering & Maintenance of Way Association – High-Speed Rail Committee, and the Transportation Research Board – Rail Group.
This conference is expected to be the largest and most diverse rail conference in North America in 2010.
