ATREL hosted its annual holiday party for students, faculty, staff, and their families on December 2, 2010. The nearly 125 attendees enjoyed a barbeque dinner and then shared potluck desserts.

ATREL Holiday Party
After dinner, ICT Director Imad Al-Qadi welcomed the attendees and announced awards and honors from the past year. Then, the student-run Society of Pavement Engineers honored Jim Meister and Jeff Kern for their assistance to students doing research work at ATREL and surprised Imad by acknowledging him for being named an ASCE Distinguished Member in 2010.

The children who attended enjoyed meeting a special guest–Santa! Santa handed out candy canes, and a jolly time was had by all.
