A full list of research projects that IDOT and ICT will showcase is listed below:

IDOT and ICT bring together industry members, academic professionals, and government agencies to improve the transportation system in Illinois and beyond. Altogether, they’ve completed over 320 joint projects, with over 40 scheduled to be in progress by this fall.

Their goal is to steer the development and implementation of cost-effective technologies that enhance safety, reduce congestion and minimize environmental impacts.

Examples of implementation include developing software, creating decision-making tools, training IDOT staff and contractors, developing steering committees, and updating IDOT’s policies, procedures, and specifications.
