ICT staff spotlight: Kristi Anderson

Kristi Anderson, financial operations manager, joined the ICT family in December 2014. She also coordinates with the university’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering on matters relating to human resources and financial management.

In addition to these primary duties, Anderson is the supervisor of the ICT project management group, which is responsible for overseeing a project from the RFP stage to proposal stage to the quarterly reporting stage to the final report. She and her team take minutes, track budgets, provide technical editing, and correspond with investigators and Technical Review Panel members to ensure project progress and a smooth project delivery.

Anderson says she enjoys the fast pace at ICT, the variety of her work, and the group of good-natured coworkers, faculty, and staff that she works with every day.

“I thoroughly enjoy being a part of the ICT team," she said. "It’s great to work with talented people, do work I enjoy, and be a part of world-class research efforts. “

Anderson holds an MBA from the University of Illinois Springfield and a B.S. in accounting from Illinois State University. Prior to joining ICT, she spent several years in industry, working for Afni, Inc. and Archer Daniels Midland Co. She came to ICT with more than 12 years of financial management experience.
