Another season of Documentation training wraps up
8/1/2016
ICT recently completed another season of the Documentation of Contract Quantities training offered to construction inspectors interested in providing services to IDOT. A total of 730 engineers received training this year, bringing the number of those trained since ICT started offering this technology transfer opportunity to 4,444.
To qualify to work on an IDOT project, a consultant must have working knowledge of IDOT specifications and documentation procedures for the inspection of work and a current certificate for successful completion of the Documentation of Contract Quantities class administrated by ICT. This training opportunity provides engineers with the ability to document contract quantities in compliance with state and federal standards and to make timely and accurate payment to contractors. It also serves as a project management tool for IDOT Resident Engineers.
Preparations for the 2016–2017 classes are already in full swing. For more information about documentation certification and to join our mailing list to be notified of the new schedule, please visit http://ict.illinois.edu/outreach/documentation-training.
