ICT investigators, students receive awards

The following ICT investigators and students have recently won awards:
Imad Al-Qadi, ICT Director and Founder Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, was named vice president of the American Society of Civil Engineers Transportation & Development Institute.
The following ICT investigators were recognized as Excellence Faculty Fellows at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign: Bassem Andrawes, Larry Fahnestock, James LaFave, and Scott Olson.
Professor Erol Tutumluer was recognized in the November/December 2012 Transportation News for his keynote address at the 2nd International Conference on Transportation Geotechnics, presented at Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan.
Student Angeli Gamez recently was awarded the Women’s Transportation Seminar Foundation’s Helene Overly Memorial Scholarship from the Greater Chicago chapter.
