New faculty welcomed with homemade barbecue

Illinois Center for Transportation staff, faculty, students and families gathered to welcome the new faculty members of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department and celebrate the holiday season at the Annual Winter Open House on Dec. 3, 2018.

ICT’s guests had the privilege of enjoying ICT Senior Sustainability Implementation Engineer, David Lippert’s, famous barbecue! At ICT, we value David not only for his excellent cooking skills, but the wisdom he brings from his many years of service in the engineering field.

The Advanced Transportation Research and Engineering Laboratory was filled with laughter, conversation, and full bellies! We even had a special visit from the fullest belly of all, Santa!
