Another successful training season completed

5/1/2018

The Illinois Center for Transportation will complete another season of the Documentation of Contract Quantities training the first week of May 2018.

To qualify to work on an Illinois Department of Transportation project, a consultant must have working knowledge of IDOT specifications and documentation procedures for the inspection of work and a current certificate for successful completion of the Documentation of Contract Quantities class administrated by ICT. This training opportunity provides engineers with the ability to document contract quantities in compliance with state and federal standards and to make timely and accurate payment to contractors. It also serves as a project management tool for IDOT resident engineers.

Preparations for the next season of documentation classes are already in full swing, with the new schedule expected in October. For more information about documentation certification and to join our mailing list to be notified of the new schedule, please visit: http://ict.illinois.edu/outreach/documentation-training.

In addition, the spring workshops of Erosion and Sediment Control training will conclude May 25th.

For those working on projects requiring IDOT’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits, the Erosion and Sediment Control workshop gives an overview of best practices in erosion control, with an emphasis on either design or inspection.

You can register for the fall workshops in Erosion and Sediment Control by visiting the schedule and registration page: https://apps.ict.illinois.edu/workshops/escworkshop.
