Registration for the 2022 Erosion and Sediment Control workshops is now open!

This three-module course offers Illinois Department of Transportation contractors, inspectors, designers and others interested in erosion and sediment control as well as storm-water pollution best management practices.

Modules I and II will be held virtually on Zoom.

Module III will take place on-site due to the workshop’s hands-on nature. The in-person training will be in accordance with University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

As a reminder, Module I is a prerequisite, but Modules II and III need not be taken in sequential order.

Reach out with any questions prior to registering by contacting erosiontraining@illinois.edu

*** As of February 25, 2016, certifications for “Erosion and Sediment Control for Designers” (Module II) and “Erosion and Sediment Control for Construction” (Module III) expire five years after being granted. To stay certified, all consultants and local agency and IDOT employees should retake the course to obtain an updated certificate every five years. The updated policy can be found here (page 58). Individuals who have successfully completed “Fundamentals for Storm Water Pollution and Erosion and Sediment Control” (Module I) will be considered current for an indefinitely.***
