Tutumluer plans to present on transportation geotechnics as it “provides key knowledge to building sustainable pavement and railroad track infrastructure,” he said.

The Geo-Institute Board of Governors selected Tutumluer based on his contributions to the industry, particularly his efforts researching the implications of geotechnical and pavement foundation issues in pavement design and performance. The committee also awarded Tutumluer given his knowledge of geomechnical and pavement systems as well as advanced- and mechanistic-based modeling.
