Bridges and Foundations Technical Advisory Group
Illinois Department of Transportation’s Bridges and Foundations Technical Advisory Group identified three research needs for the upcoming research cycle:
- Local Public Agency Bridge Inventory Data Requirements
- Vehicle Configurations for Implements of Husbandry in Illinois
- Navigational Clearances
The contact and TAG chair is Mark Shaffer, who serves IDOT’s Office of Highway Project Implementation in the Bureau of Bridges and Structures.
Submit a Proposed Research Idea Statement to address the research need(s). While proposals aligned with the TAG’s specified research needs are more likely to be funded, additional research ideas are also welcome for review.
Research ideas are prioritized based on the availability of funding, the TAG’s current needs and submittal quality.
