Pavements and Materials 

The Pavements and Materials Technical Advisory Group determines research needs and priorities involving pavement design procedures (new, rehabilitation and preservation), pavement subgrades and embankments, highway construction materials, pavement performance, new materials for highway applications and recycling reclaimed materials.

The contact and Pavements and Materials TAG chairs are Brian Pfeifer, who serves Illinois Department of Transportation’s Office of Highways Implementation in the Central Bureau of Materials, and John Senger, who serves as IDOT’s bureau chief of research in the Central Bureau of Materials.
